Registration Notes:
• Tournament will be played 3 on 3 plus a goalie for each team. (Teams can be mixed).
• Tournament will take place on pavement in the Caruso parking lot.
• Registration price includes a guarantee of two games.
• Teams will be contacted prior to start date with game times.
• Registration does not include food or beverages.
• Teams must pay all entry fees prior to the entry deadline to the Caruso Office in order to be placed on the
schedule.
• All players must be over the age of 16 and have signed consent forms in order to participate.
• Teams can have a maximum of 6 players.
• Prizes will be given to wining team.

World Cup Tournament RULES
The following guides you through the laws, highlighting the basic principles of the game that make it different
from any other versions that you might have played before:
The pitch
Futsal is played on a marked pitch and the ball can go out of play.
The ball
Is a fundamental factor in making the game and is by virtue of the laws of the game required to be a smaller,
heavier, ‘low bounce’ version of 11 a-side ball
Head height
There are no restrictions as to how high the ball can be kicked.
Rotating substitutions
Up to 4 players can be used in one match and there is no limit on how long a player must stay on or off the
pitch. Players must enter and leave the field of play via the ‘substitution zone’ that is marked on the pitch in
front of the team’s benches.
Kick-ins
In order to restart the game after a ball has gone out of play the ball is kicked back into play from the touchline and
from corners. The ball must be placed stationary on the touchline and the feet of the player taking the kick-in must
not cross the line.
The 4 second rule
For kick-ins, free kicks, goal clearances and corner kicks the player in possession of the ball has 4 seconds to
restart play which the referee will count with their fingers in the air. If play isn’t restarted within four seconds an
indirect free kick will be awarded to the opposing team. The goalkeeper is not allowed to control the ball for more
than 4 seconds in his own half.
The 5m rule
Players are required to keep 5m from the player in possession of the ball on free kicks, corners, goal clearances,
kick-ins and penalties.
Goalkeepers
Goalkeepers are allowed to come out of and players are allowed to go into the penalty area. A goal clearance must
be thrown out and the goalkeeper cannot touch the ball again until it has crossed into the opponents half or a
member of the opposition has touched the ball.
Accumulated fouls
Each team will be allowed to give away 5 direct free kicks in each half, then on the sixth foul a direct kick is
awarded to the opposing team and the defending team is not allowed to position any players (other than the goal
keeper) between the ball and the goal. The kick may be take from the 10m mark or, if the foul was committed
closer to the goal than the 10m mark, then the kick may be taken from the position where the foul took place.
Real time
A match consists of two fifteen minute half's that are played real-time which means the clock stops whenever
the ball goes out of play.
Time outs
Each team is allowed a one-minute time out in each half lasting 60 seconds.
Sliding Tackles
Sliding tackles are not allowed but players ARE allowed to slide on the pitch, for example to stop the ball from
going out of play. For a player sliding to be considered an offence, the tackler’s opponent must have
possession of the ball. Referees will not give a foul for a slide if the opponent does not have possession of the
ball.
Red Cards
If a player is sent off then the team to which the player belongs must remain with 3 players (one being the goalie)
until either two minutes have passed, or the opposition have scored a goal.
Officials
There will be one official in attendance for each game.

World Cup Tournament WAIVER, RELEASE and IDEMNIFICATION
Every player, and his/her parent or guardian (if the player is under 18) must read, execute and deliver this waiver
to tournament organizers upon registration for the tournament. In consideration of the right and opportunity to
participate in the Società Caruso World Cup Tournament conducted by The Società Caruso and its licensed
affiliates, the undersigned hereby acknowledges and agrees as follows:
I (who am the participant's parent or legal guardian if the participant is under 18 years old) hereby consent to the
use without compensation, of my/his/her name and/or likeness, biographical material and/or voice in publicity
and advertising concerning the Società Caruso World Cup Tournament by Caruso Club and/or any tournament
partners or sponsors in any and all media and/or promotion and throughout the world. In addition, the
undersigned (on behalf of the participant if the participant is under 18 years of age) forever generally and
completely release and discharge and shall indemnify and hold harmless Società Caruso and its owners, employees,
directors, officers, agents, sponsors, partners and licensees and each other party affiliated with Società Caruso and
each of its owners, agents, directors, officers, employees, sponsors and partners (collectively, "Event Organizers")
against and from any and all claims and demands of every kind and nature whatsoever, for damages or injuries,
actual or consequential, past, present or future, arising out of or in any way related to the Società Caruso World
Cup Tournament, including but not limited to any claims of injury from participating in OR observing the
tournament, the loss of personal property by theft or otherwise during the tournament, any publicity relating to
the tournament, or any prizes awarded. The undersigned acknowledges that of its own free will he/she has chosen
to participate in the tournament and related activities. I understand and acknowledge that the aforementioned
activities carry with them a high level of risk of injury and additional hazards related thereto. I certify that I am
aware of, and accept, these increased risks and that I am mentally and physically prepared for the risks associated
with the Società Caruso World Cup Tournament. This general release shall further apply to all unknown,
unanticipated, unsuspected, and undisclosed claims, demands, liabilities, actions or causes of action, in law, equity
or otherwise. This Waiver shall bind the heirs, personal representatives, and successors of the undersigned, and
inure to the benefit of the Event Organizers.
I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE TERMS OF THE ABOVE AGREEMENT, WILL
COMPLY WITH THE TERMS HEREOF AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT BY SIGNING THIS
FORM I AM GIVING UP LEGAL RIGHTS.
