2017 Bob Rathwell Memorial Futsal Tournament

On behalf of the Ottawa Futsal Club, we would like to invite your team to participate in the 2017 Bob Rathwell Memorial Futsal Tournament to held in Ottawa, Ontario and run by the Ottawa Futsal Club with over 26 years’ experience in Futsal.  The Tournament is staged and timed to give participating teams a warm up tournament to the Ontario Futsal Cups.  It is the LARGEST futsal tournament in Canada with over 80 teams from around Canada participating.

2017 Tournament Dates

Tournament dates are Saturday January 28, to Sunday January 29, 2017.  Game start times will be scheduled from 8:00-20:00 Saturday and 8:00-17:30 Sunday.   Special scheduling will be permitted for Out of District Teams. Some in town teams may have to play Friday in order to accommodate scheduling issues.

Age Groups

The Tournament is open to Youth Teams (Boys and Girls) registered in Age Categories between U13 and U21, Open Men’s and Open Women’s.

Classification

The Tournament is open to all Canadian Competitive and Recreational Teams currently registered with their District / Provincial Soccer Association.  All teams must be registered with their district association and play in a sanctioned indoor league in the 2016/2017 season.

Format

Three games guaranteed (usually 4 games) (25 minute games), plus semis/finals.

Registration

Teams are accepted on a first come basis. Early registration is recommended.  Teams not accepted into the Tournament will be notified by email by January 1st, 2017.  Entry deadline is December 20th, 2016.

Out of District Teams must obtain an approved Travel Permit from their home District Association authorizing the Team to participate in the Tournament.  All Teams must be registered in the appropriate Tournament class to participate in the Tournament.  All players must provide current and validated player registration books or District Photo ID in order to take part in the Tournament.  Unregistered Players/Teams will not be permitted to participate.  Teams must carry and supply proof of insurance, injury and liability while participating in the event.

Youth and Adult : $275 (includes HST)
